Delft Mask-Sewing Project
While the COVID-19 pandemic presents significant threat to the lives and wellbeing of the people of the Delft community, it also presents an opportunity. The aim of this project is to provide support for the vulnerable members
of the local community from the impact of the COVID19 pandemic, and to aid in the recovery from the economic and social impacts in the months to come in support of the Western Cape Government’s “whole of society” approach in the fight against COVID-19.

Our project aims to assist the community of Delft in line with the WCG’s whole of society approach. We are looking at the following focus areas:

• Securing the health and safety of DAN Kitchens
• Education and awareness to reduce the spread of the Virus
• Economic stimulation, health care and food security through mask-making
